f you ask me how I got into the Risk Management and Insurance industry, my answer is simple:
Because of Spencer.
When I first decided to pursue my Master’s in Financial and Enterprise Risk Management in the United States, my goal was to build deep technical knowledge that would strengthen my banking and wealth management career. Risk management had always been an area of interest to me, but I have never imagined that I would actually build a career in the RMI industry.
That changed when I began researching scholarship opportunities, discovered the Spencer Educational Foundation and attended events of RMI to learn about the industry.
What drew me in was not only the scholarship support, but also the people, the energy, the culture, and the incredible potential of this industry.
Spencer does far more than provide scholarships.
→ They bring risk managers to campuses to help students learn, build connections, and explore career opportunities.
→ They also bring together outstanding students and rising professionals from around the world.
At RISKWORLD 2026, I had the privilege of meeting amazing new friends from Nepal, India, France, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Missouri, Pennsylvania, New York… We spent meaningful time together and created memories I will never forget.

These experiences are truly unforgettable.
